This is the most versatile rod in our offering. A 5/6 wt. rod with the same walnut gold reel seat, gold guides and Pflueger Supreme adjustable disk drag #1856 reel. A word about this reel - it is quite simply the best bargain in the industry. Machined aluminum anodized gold framed, it features an exposed rim control spool, counterbalanced, with a natural grained wood handle. It is convertable from left to right hand. The same high modulus blank compliments this great reel.
This combination works well for panfish on lakes (in the wind), trout on more open streams, and for smallmouth bass in May and June when they are on the shorelines. It is "tight" enough to cast in some wind, but light enough to enjoy panfish.
As before, the outfit includes Scientific Anglers 6 wt. WF line and backing. Lengths come in 7 1/2 or 8'. |
