For those of you who are not familiar with "travel" rods, a 4-piece rod has a faster taper than 2-piece rods. The taper, and the resultant action from the rod, are PERFECT in this weight.
We feel that this rod compares in castability and action to some of the $400 - $500 rods that you see on the market. We make this rod with a gold accented graphite reel seat for weight, and put a fighting butt on the end. We pair the rod with the Cortland Mosquito large sized reel and Scientific Anglers
